Reconstruction of the Fables

More aptly, reconstruction of the website. Unfortunately, it needs to be pretty much rebuilt entirely. I got the blog roll back up without much difficulty. I've changed the ads format (not that any of you click them anyway, but it seems to fill the space better). A little more tweaking and I'll be satisfied for the moment. Let me know what you think of the new format!

In other news, my wife and I just tenatively agreed on a boy's name. It's still early yet, so expect it to change six to eight more times before December. Care to take any stabs on the name?

Today's daily clue: the initials are LJM.

Liam James - I like the name Liam!

So, you could always use that one!

I see Redneck is spreading the "good news" over at your place too.

Lucky us.

My 19 month old nephew who is coming to visit in 2 weeks is named
Lucas.
You COULD always go with Lucas James

Leonard James is my guess.

Tenatively, we were thinking Landon Jackson McKnight. It's receiving mixed reviews (to the nay-sayers, I say you don't like it? Have your own kid and name him yourself).

:-)

Works for me...{hahaha like you give a hoot what I think}
Actually I think it is very nice.
When he makes his arrival, I already know what I am going to send, along with a litle surprise for Thomas.
At the Rider store, there are Gainor the Gopher { The Sask Rider's mascot} puppets. I have one, and it is sooo cute with it's little jersey on, so I want your boys to have one to. I'll make CFL fans out of them, in my lifetime!!

Nic, no one wants to watch the CFL after they watch the NFL. I appreciate the distraction though, anything to keep him from being a New England Patriots fan is welcome.

uh uh Ben, 3 downs makes for a much more exciting game, along with other points.
But that's ok, I shall let your snotty american attitude pass ....
THIS time :-D

I could be into girly things, and try to get him into ringette...gheewz

Wait, are you saying that MORE punting makes for an exciting game? I think not...

American football, (pardon the snobbery), has more talent. A lot more. I'm guessing they have bigger egos and personalities, and off the field issues, which is even more exciting. Hell, just yesterday a Dallas Cowboy got shot in the head (and lived!). Ironically, he was shot a few years ago too.

It just doesnt get more exciting than that! No fear--the CFL is still more exciting than NFL Europe, and Arena football (although Arena is close).

Not to "brag" but NFL has nothin on us.
Let's see, Trevis Smith who is cut from the Riders because he is HIV + and has aggrivated rape charges because he has the the small bad habit of banging CFL groupies and has "supposedly" infected 3 other women { waiting for more players to develop "personal problems" as I am sure they all bang the same ho's when in town}' then there are NFL castoffs, like Ricky Williams etc.
Just last week, we have good old Kenton Keith {a Rider AGAIN} who was arrested and was a possible no-show for our Friday's game { he made a brief appearance, a supposed distraction to cause hype was what Rider Brass issued. Don't knock what you don't know. Yes you have bigger players and millions of bucks to waste in the NFL, but there is good excitement in the CFL too. We have wins that happen in the last 10 seconds, big plays that happen because of the 3rd down. Go read my recap of Friday's 2 CFL games I watched under the post Do or Die time.
Plus, Benny, how many girls do you know that would want to sit and watch 6 hours of football, and half-ass understand what is going on. And actually care about what is going on?

I'm glad you enjoy it, and I'm all for WWFINA (Women Watching Football In North America), but I'd rather watch the best in the world play. I guarantee we see more spectacular one-handed grabs, pancake blocks, and unbelievable passes in the NFL. It's a matter of talent, and the cold, hard truth is we've just got more of it. A lot more. Because americans sink billions annually into the industry.

The first round pick of our draft each year signs a contract with more guaranteed money than most CFL TEAMS.

And I never said the CFL didn't have exciting games. I'm sure you have some great ones. We have exciting high school football games here too ;-).
