Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori

Saw the Bush speech tonight. There was a lot about it that bothered me, but mostly, it boils down to two things:

1) His inability to read a teleprompter and sound like he cares simultaneously. (Note: this is a step up from his "off the cuff" speeches when he just stumbles through nonsense.

2) Something about him I've noticed. With every other president for as long as I could remember, they went in handsome and left office looking like a trainwreck--like they agonized over some decisions that caused them to lose sleep, and added years to their life. GWB looks like he's aged normally during his presidency, not like a man who has sent men to die for what he believed was right.

"The old lie: Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori..."
