One Television Straggler...

I forgot about the Fringe. I stand by an earlier statement that the acting is weak. That said, it was interesting again tonight. The cool thing about the show is the possibilities are endless as far as episode to episode plot goes. It depends on what they intend to do with it. They could print money a la the Law and Order blueprint for printing money if they want. Just leave them be to investigate cool stuff, but never really advance the plot. I suspect they are going to try to move things forward though, which means it will undoubtedly get stupid sooner or later.

Quick list of shows I can't wait to come back on the air:

Earl
Pushing Daisies
Life
*My Own Worst Enemy
Chuck
*Surviving Suburbia
30-Rock(ed the Emmys)
Damages

*denotes new show

I also need to remember to check out the Mentalist pilot on Friday. I forgot to record it tonight. Off to a bad start. I suspect it's Psych-lite, without the funny, so probably not a big deal.

Yeah, with the exception of Lost, they all sort of run together for me. Every now and then I'm in the mood for a L&A, but if the rest of them were never aired again I could live with it. (And what I mean by that is "I wouldn't even notice).

I never got into Lost. I saw two episodes and thought it was dumb. My brother loves that show, so it probably warrants a second chance. I'll let the series run its course, get the DVDs, and make a weekend out of it sometime.
